DIAMOND JUBILEE ANNIVERSARY TO OUR ONE AND ONLY FATHERS LAND π³π¬, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE π³π¬π³π¬π³π¬.(1/10/2020).
NIGERIA@60
*NIGERIA @ 60...... A NEW DAWN OR SAME OLD DAWN*
As said by the CHAIRMAN YCAPF KANO STATE CHAPTER
The road to independence seems a hard task to achieve, with the vigorous effort of the Nigerian Nationalist the event for the handing over of autonomy to Nigeria was slated for October 1, 1960, and subsequently metamorphosing into a an autonomy republican in 1963 which paved the way for the end of colonial imperialism in the demesne of Nigeria.
Nigeria has been a field of political higi haga since her return to an elected republic, a battle of contestation and supremacy for power summed up between regions which left the country into a devastating situation, the Nigeria civil war which started in the year 1967 came to an abrupt end in 1970. The scar left by the war and the Khaki men, with their unconditional coup of deposing a sitting head of state can still be felt hitherto.
Since the return to independence, Nigeria has witness a multi dimensional constitutional change, with the 1999 constitution seems the last of its kind. The fight for democracy and the annulment of 1993 presidential hasten up the struggle for an elected democratic leaders to shadowed the military system of ruling.
In may 1999, Nigeria was returned to a democratic state with her leader being in person of ex president Olusegun Obasanjo, since then Nigeria had witnessed a peaceful transition of position with the current president in person of His Excellence Muhammad Buhari.
In the era of military and democratic rule, the country had been plunged by the common disease known as corruption, selfish and one sided leaders who only cared for their personal interest at the detriment of the populace, the excessive plundering of the nations wealth by the political class had subjected her to the position of an underdeveloped country in the world.
Poverty, another disease bedeviling the continent, as per research, Nigeria is part of the poorest country in the world despite how blessed it is with her resources, the resources which supposed to be of wealth to her citizens subjected her citizens to an abysmal poverty, a low class Nigerians per day averagely feed on a single dollar despite how blessed she is.
Education, despite her years of independence, the academia sector of the country has failed woefully, with the unceasing strike by the academic union, with the recent nationwide strike embarked on by the academic union, it shows how degrading the sector is, with the career of the student being the bait and played upon, the academia calendar is being affected macaronically and a four years course metamorphosing into five or six years and still no absolute solution to the disease.
Other sectors, health, insurance, finance and other sectors have all met with more than one or two failures which keeps degrading and tearing the nation apart, with her recent achievement in combating and curbing the spread of the novel virus, it is pertinent on the government to standardized the health sectors so the country could be able to meet up with Western and Asian standard in her health sectors, the needs for the standardization of the health sector is important for the development of a country and we indulge the leaders to look into it likewise the other sectors not mentioned.
With the recent anniversary of Nigeria, the question which should be and will be asked by Nigerians are, are we in the era of a new dawn or we still battling the same old problem, is corruption still killing us or we are partially free from it, will the poverty rate increases or decreases, the health and education sectors, are they going to remain the same old stories or salvation is near and likewise the other sectors. I wish Nigeria and Mr President well.....
Long live Nigeria, Happy 60th Anniversary As said by some individuals that Independence is not that worthy to be celebrated. So the chairman explains further for it's being worthy
*INDEPENDENCE DAY, WORTH CELEBRATING OR NOT??*
*Nigeria as a country with approximately 300 ethnic groups and 500 spoken languages has known to coexist since Independence as a sovereign state, but since then, questions are been asked, red flags have been raised about whether Nigeria as a country is at a level it is expected to be or not ever since we were declared independent, are we really independent or not, this is a question that the Nigerian masses are yet to have a unanimous agreement on, some believe we are independent and some believe that we are not all with reasonable points of thier own.*
*I will like to make a breakdown of my own about this, firstly what is Independence, it simply means freedom from outside control in other words it is a time in which a country gains political freedom from outside control, so with this definition, we can say we are independent, yes we are, we instill the leaders we want ourselves, we make decisions that may or may not ruin us ourselves, so yes we are independent..*
*Celebrating Independence in other words is a different case, you may decide to celebrate it or not, but what we all know is that Nigeria belongs to us all and it is worth celebrating, if we can all remember Nigeria as a country have faced many challenges from the day it was declared an independent state, we have had our ups and downs from the early coups that led to the death of visionary leaders like Sir. Tafawa Balewa, Sir. Ahmadu Bello, chief akintola and ekotie-eboh to the likes of Murtala Muhammad and others, the political uprisings, the military taking over power, the Nigerian civil war and other event that led to the evolution of this country to what it is now, this simply means Nigeria have been built on sacrifices that our heroes of the past made for it, many have paid the ultimate price for this country and many are still paying, it is necessary we celebrate Nigeria as a harmonius entity so as to spread more love within the regions, we should celebrate it for the goodness of having a country, even if we are not celebrating larger achievements as expected, we should celebrate it because it has been a home to our forefathers, our generation and will be to the younger generation to come, to not celebrate Nigeria is an unpatriotic act, the simple fact is this country is ours and no matter what, we have to love it despite the difficult times it is facing,we should still have the believe that someday this country will be a better place we all have dreamt of and are still dreaming for it to be, to not celebrate Nigeria means not celebrating ourselves because we are Nigeria, this simply means we are giving up hope for a better life, we are giving up our future and that of our kids and the younger generation at large and also neglecting the sacrifices made by many visionary leaders, thousands of Fallen heroes and other respected personalities that fought for our Independence,We might not like the country as it is now but believe me fellow compatriots that having a struggling independent country is far better than depending on others,So not cherishing our country and making jest of it is not considered as a mere talk, it is a very big mistake that we all should think it through.*
*Lastly I will like to wish our motherland happy 60th Independence anniversary, may Nigeria flourish as never before, may the Almighty bless us with leaders that have the passion and sincere purpose of serving our motherland, and may we the citizens of this great country cherish our country and also teach the younger generation the spirit of patriotism, this might be our way forward, God bless the federal republic of Nigeria, Our home and our pride.
LONG LIVE NIGERIA π³π¬ HAPPY DIAMOND JUBILEE ANNIVERSARY TO OUR ONE AND ONLY FATHERS LAND✊
